Terryn and Andrew Hickinbotham have been supporting local Peninsula based organisations, mostly charities, for many years. Since the beginning of 2006 they have raised & donated over $100,000 to assist their local community. They run an independent, family owned business, which aims to provide positive experiences for customers. They have a commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices, which includes manufacturing and selling superior and individualistic wines at fair prices, providing a supportive family atmosphere for their employees and taking responsibility for the impact of their business on the environment. They grow their grapes using organic principles which involve natural soil-enrichment (composted winery waste) and pest-control methods. Their wines are always low in preservatives. They have a registered Land for Wildlife property and a habitat for many species of native birds and animals like quolls, sugar gliders and bandicoots.They aim to have minimal impact on the environment through their wine making practices and re-use and recycle over 90 per cent of waste from their business.
